Chelsea
My main goal for The Fit Ferret team is to provide people nutritional knowledge and guidance as it pertains to all types of fitness, weight loss, dietary restrictions, and life in general.
It all started when Chelsea was a young girl. She always tagged alongside her older brother and his friends rather than play with the girls. She played various sports starting at the age of 5, from ballet, deck & ice hockey, to soccer and even tried out for cheer leading (…that wasn’t her thing) and eventually fell in love with two; softball and ice hockey, which she continued from ages 7 throughout High School. After graduation she attended Framingham State University’s for their Nutrition program and found her passion. During college, she didn’t play sports and needed something to keep her busy and active. That’s where she found the weight-room & was hooked. It was perfect for her because her whole life she considered herself a “tom-boy” and never felt as though people understood her love for being strong & equal to the boys. During her sophomore year of college she became very passionate about fitness and decided to compete in her first fitness competition in 2013 where she was the youngest girl in her class. She managed to get 8th place out of 19 women and was hooked. She has taken a short break to improve her physique and is currently preparing for her second and third competitions in April and May 2015. Chelsea holds her Bachelors Degree from Framingham State University in Nutrition with a concentration in Health & Wellness, as well as her CPT from NASM. She is planning on continuing her education this fall to obtain her Registered Dietician credentials as well as pursuing other fitness certifications as well. “Never say the sky is the limit when there are footprints on the moon”-unknown |
